Graduate Admissions

Textiles and Apparel Graduate Program -- Admissions, Requirements and Deadlines

Admission is based on undergraduate and graduate grades, scores on the Verbal and Quantitative portions of the Graduate Record Exam, letters of recommendation from teachers or others familiar with the student’s academic potential, prior research experience, and work samples or other evidence of academic promise.
The Admission Committee also examines the fit between applicant's goals and the goals of the program. Admissions decisions are made by the Graduate Admissions Committee on the basis of review of each applicants particular profile of strengths. Admitted students have different profiles. Some, for example, have extremely high test scores or grade point averages; others bring unusually strong prior research experience. International students should first contact the Graduate and International Admissions Center for information on application to the University of Texas at Austin. They will then assist you with applications to the various programs.

Step 1: Apply to the University of Texas at Austin. The graduate school requires an application that can be obtained and submitted online.
