The involvement of our alumni and friends makes a tangible difference in the daily lives of our students and faculty members. Your financial support enables us to enhance the academic quality of our programs and the student experience, to recognize student and faculty excellence, to recruit the best faculty and students and to initiate new research and community outreach efforts. Ways of Giving Create an Endowment Funding an endowment is one of the most selfless and charitable acts of philanthropy. It is the gift that keeps on giving. The funds are invested by the UT System and the interest generated is used for the purpose that you wish to support. A portion of the income is re-invested each year to ensure that the endowment continues to grow and provide a stable stream of support over time. Establishing a named endowment means your generosity will support Human Ecology every year. You can make a one-time gift, a series of gifts, or a pledge paid over a period of years to fund the endowment. Click here to see current endowments. There are several different endowment categories for the support of academic programs, faculty, and students. Please contact the Human Ecology Development Office to discuss your ideas regarding endowments. Planned Giving/Bequests You can make a significant impact by supporting Human Ecology through your estate plans. A number of donors have established income-producing gifts such as charitable gift annuities or charitable remainder trusts, which benefit them during their lifetimes with up-front income tax savings and often a higher return. The University of Texas at Austin has professionals dedicated to assisting you with your gift planning goals. For more information, please contact either the Human Ecology Development Office or the Office of Gift Planning. Outright Gifts Online Giving - The University of Texas at Austin's online giving website is a secure, safe way to make gifts using your credit card. Many employers match charitable contributions made by their employees. Find out if your company has a matching gift program by visiting Matching Gift Information. If your company does match gifts, please request a matching gift form from your human resources office and include the form with your gift to Human Ecology. In-Kind Gifts Gifts in-kind are non-monetary items of tangible property or other physical assets that represent value. Examples might be equipment, collections, historic clothing, and artwork. If you believe you have a potential in-kind gift, please contact the Human Ecology Development Office. On behalf of our students and faculty, thank you for your generous support of Human Ecology. With your continued generosity, we will advance the frontiers of human ecology while maintaining a first-class undergraduate educational experience. |
