APPLYING TO THE COORDINATED PROGRAM
Preview of CPD Application
1. Applications for spring admission to the CPD will be due in September. Students who are not currently enrolled at the University of Texas at
Austin must apply for admission to the University. Admission to the
Coordinated Program cannot be granted to students who have not applied for
admission to the University. The spring admission application deadline for
transfer students is October 1; for former students, December 1.
2. The application requires information about universities attended, honors,
extracurricular, and volunteer activities as well as employment.
3. A letter of application is requested to help the selection panel to know
you as a person. The application contains specific instructions about the
topics to address in the letter.
4. An official UT transcript will be required. Before entering the program
in the spring, you must have completed the following courses:
a. CH 301, 302, 204, 310M and 369
b. BIO 311C, 416K and 416L
c. At least 23 hours of nutrition including:
NTR 307/107L Introductory Food Science / Laboratory
NTR 311/111L Introductory Nutrition / Laboratory
NTR 315 Nutrition through the Life Cycle
NTR 318 Assessment of Nutritional Status
NTR 326 Cellular and Molecular Nutrition
NTR 126L Nutritional Sciences Laboratory
At two courses chosen from NTR 334, NTR 234L, NTR 332 and NTR 330
5. Applications will be reviewed by the selection committee and selected
applications will be granted an interview. These applicants will be asked
to obtain recommendations from faculty and employers.
