Welcome to the Department of Human Ecology.

    Current students who wish to change undergraduate majors or apply to graduate programs should check out the webpages for our three divisional programs - Human Development and Family Sciences, Nutritional Sciences and Textiles and Apparel - for information about their specific requirements. In addition, all undergraduate students in Human Ecology must contact the Advising Center prior to registration.

    Graduate students must first apply to the University of Texas Graduate School, before application to specific programs by going to the Graduate Admissions site. In addition, please check out the webpages for our three divisional graduate programs - Human Development and Family Sciences, Nutritional Sciences and Textiles and Apparel - for information about their specific requirements. Graduate Coordinators for all programs should be contacted, as they will help guide you through the application process.

    International students, both undergraduate and graduate should first contact the International Office for information on application to the University of Texas at Austin. They will then assist you with applications to the various programs.
