Admissions Information
The Priscilla Pond Flawn Child and Family Laboratory
enrolls 104 children each academic year from the community at large. Children
are enrolled on a first come, first served basis, with highest priority
given to families currently enrolled in the program and second highest priority
to families previously served.
Children are enrolled according to their chronological
age as of September 1 of the current year into the following groups:
- Toddler groups meet 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, up to six
children are enrolled
- Toddler A 18 to 21 months of age, meets Tuesday and Thursday
mornings
- Toddler B 22 to 25 months of age, meets Monday and Wednesday mornings
- Toddler C 26 to 30 months of age, meets Tuesday and Thursday
mornings
- Toddler D 31 to 35 months of age, meets Monday and Wednesday

Preschool
classes have both a morning and an afternoon group. Morning classes are
from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Afternoon classes are from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.
Younger Preschool --age 3 years, meets Monday through Thursday, up to 15
children enrolled.
Older Preschool - age 4 years, meets Monday through Thursday, up to 16 children
enrolled.
Five year old class - age 5 years, meets Monday through Thursday 9:00 a.m.
to 2:00 p.m. Up to 18 children enrolled.
Enrollment from the waiting list begins on or about March 1 each year for
the upcoming academic year, which begins in September. Enrollment during
the school year happens only infrequently and then only to fill a spot vacated
by a child who has moved from the program.
A letter will be mailed on the receipt of application.
The letter is your confirmation that the application was received and entered
into the waiting list database. It is not possible to indicate "where"
a child is on the waiting list. Most families have the best chance of enrolling
their child when the child is age three years of age. The child's status
on the waiting list does not change from March to March. |
