The Division of Textiles and Apparel's 2008 spring fashion show, "Celebrate!" took place on April 25, 2008, 8:00 pm, in the Frank Erwin Center. Twenty-six senior apparel design majors presented collections of evening wear, daywear, and bridal gowns in an event the Austin American Statesman calls "the largest, most well attended fashion show of its kind in the Southwest." A pre-show exposition will began at 5:45 pm, highlighting programmatic and research activity within the division, as well the recently acquired collections of Dr. Jean Andrews and Mrs. Gwen Hodson Bruner.

Organized by the University Fashion Group under faculty guidance, and funded by the University Co-Operative Society, the show provides students an invaluable opportunity to produce a large, formal fashion show in a manner standard to the fashion industry. The Director of this year's event was Eve Nicols, and there were more than three thousand people in the audience. Additional thanks go to Sue Webber for coordinating the professional models, Sephora Cosmetics for creating the makeup for the models, Pink Hair Salon and Gallery for styling and hair. And kudos go out to the University Fashion Club whose hard work and long hours were critical in making this event the outstanding success that it was.
