The Departmental Visiting Committee
The Departmental Visiting
Committee serves as a link between the Department of Human Ecology at
the University of Texas at Austin and the non-academic community in
strengthening the fundamental educational mission of the Department.
The Committee provides an external perspective to the Department on
issues of policy, organization and curriculum; assists the faculty and
staff of the Department in areas such as resource development and employment
opportunities for students; and advances the Department in the eyes
of governmental, corporate and community segments of society.
